Today I showed up for a small claim case that has been scheduled for six months. I checked the online case search last night to make sure that the trial was still today. It was. When I show up I'm not on the docket. So I went to the information desk to ask why. They said that as of 10:30 PM last night the trial has been postponed and I should receive a notification in the mail in several days. Seriously????
Threatening to arrest citizen journalists for filming in public. Claiming state property is 'private property'. Not much intelligence in this courthouse.
1 star for contempt of the constitution. 1 star for harassing a citizen engaged in a first amendment protected activity. Its clear you guys got something to hide if you're so scared of a citizen filming public officials on public property. Next time a good officer falls in the line of duty look in the mirror at the tyrants who helped spur hatred.
It is district court. What can you say. Also the building contains a commissioner and several social services offices. The social services offices tend to have long lines and waits. The court staff here are great and there is ample free parking! Make sure you double check before your court date to ensure you are here and not in Annapolis.
I've served summons for this court and thought I'd leave a positive comment, they get things done pretty quickly and efficiently and are always willing to lend me a hand.
