Rather late...but in 2005 we planned a 2006 cruise to bermuda thru Going places. 2 weeks before the cruise I called to get my "packet". I was told we were never booked despite the receipts I had that said paid in full. After contacting the BBB and some other agencies - Going places called me to pick up my packet @ 1 week before the scheduled cruise. Looking for a new agent now for all inclusive fly ins - we've booked all our cruises since thru the cruise line directly without a problem.

A good friend of mine suggested I try going places a few years back and I have been nothing but grateful he did. They took care of everything on my trips to Cozumel and most recently Hawks Cay resort in the florida Keys. I can be a pain in the butt but not once did they ignore me and questions or fail to give me EXACTLY what I wanted. The woman at the Pasadena location are exceptional.

We have only dealt with the Glen Burnie location and can't be happier with all of the agents!

I have cruised 7 times in the last 4.5 years and have booked several with "Tim" at Going Places (Eastpoint), these trips were fine I liked Tim and he was a great TA. Tim left the company prior to last Sept cruise and the people in the Eastpoint office were lacking to say the least, error after error. It was so bad I was able to talk to the owner Mr. Hicks and he offered me a $200 OBC on my next sailing, I thought class act the way business should be done. He also said "work with my daughter Emily at the Anne Arundel location". I thought okay Emily should have her stuff together. Well turns out Emily is worse than the other location....does not return phone calls, does not email invoices, hard to get a hold of, acts like you are bothering her when you have a question. The worst was when I asked her to have her Dad call me she said she would not and that he had retired. 2 months later when I inquired when the $200 OBC would be applied she stated that she had talked to her Dad (Mr. Hicks) who said that I had made changes to the reservation (i.e. moving to a larger cabin, cabin placement) so he said to take a $50 change fee out of the $200 OBC and that I had made several changes and to not give me the OBC. I was amazed when Emily said this and inquired when she was going to to tell me to which she responded with a smirk "well I thought you would notice when you got your documents". Amazed I asked Emily "If a passengers cruise fare goes down $100 dollars and they want to get the better rate you would charge the person $50 to make the change?" Emily's response "yes, we dont make changes for free" Everyone should stay away from this travel agency as I feel they do not conduct business in a proper fashion.
