Service manager was really nice and always came by with updates on when my car would be done, as well as their progress along the way. I only ranked it 3 stars because of the length of time it took for what I was getting done. They were not slammed and I was there for over 3 hours.

Totally disappointed and never going back. I took my car there last month for new tires and asked if the front left blinker could also be fixed while I was there. They said sure, no problem. I got home and realized the blinker had not been fixed (I think they got mixed up and put a new bulb in the back left blinker which wasn't broken). I took the car back the following weekend and explained what had happened and they said "oh, the light shouldn't have burned out in a week." It didn't! It was never replaced in the first place! They charged me AGAIN for another bulb and labor but I just said whatever and paid. Three days later both my front right AND back right blinkers stopped working. I took the car back again the following weekend and they said it might be an electrical issue instead of bad bulbs and that it would cost $45 to get it checked. I got them to waive the fee but after dropping the car off at 9am and received a call at 3pm that it was ready, I got there and they said it was the bulbs after all BUT they hadn't even put them in yet! So they asked me to wait 15 minutes while they did that. I went outside, came back 15 minutes later and they asked me to wait about 20 minutes longer while they "put my car back together." I assumed that meant putting the lining of my trunk back in place after taking if off to get to the lights but NOPE that was never put back either. But the cherry on top was when the car finally WAS "put back together" the mechanic drove it around to the front and told me he left it running since "the battery was acting iffy." I drove the car home and when I went out that night OF COURSE THE CAR DOESN'T START. DEAD BATTERY. Obviously I got someone else to fix this and I will NOT be going back!!

I wanted to give it 0 stars but it wouldn't allow me to give it anything less than 1. I called the Pep Boys and the person who answered the phone picked it up and hung it up immediately after. So I called right back to try to make an appointment. This time a male answered the phone and when I said I would like to make an appointment. His reply was "You can do that online". I explained to him that I prefer to do it over the phone where I can talk to a person. He then said "Well we can't do that right now, you'll have to do it online". Which I think is horrible customer service and extremely unprofessional, for one everyone does not have access to the internet and two the internet cannot answer the specific questions I needed to ask. When I told him again that I'm not going to make an appointment online I'd prefer to talk to someone he then told me that the only way I could make an appointment over the phone was if I called back in 30 minutes. The time he took repeatedly telling me to go online could have been time used to make my appointment. After that interaction I definitely will not be going to Pep Boys again. If he does not want to give good customer service then he should not be answering the telephone.

I ordered tires on a Tuesday. I called the store on Saturday to see if they came in. They told me the warehouse was having trouble locating the tires and that they would order me some from another warehouse.

It’s now the following Tuesday, and I can’t get them to even answer the phone. Every time I call it rings and rings.

My truck broke down and had it towed here after they said on the phone they would look at it when I got there. Got there at 4 and the guy said he wouldn’t look at it until tomorrow. I reminded him that on the phone they said they would. He said tomorrow. I asked if he would at least put a code checker on it to see if it was sending out an error code. That’s when he treated my like an ignorant child and went on about that’s not how code checkers work. I reminded him that code checkers can work that way and I’ve used them before to determine problems. He stayed rude and I towed my truck to a better garage.

I haven’t even gotten provided a service yet and I’m already not impressed. If I wasn’t tied to pep boys on a road hazard warranty for my tires, I would not be returning.
